I come to KDAM with an extensive background in music and audio production. I attended school at Moorhead State University, and later IPR for music production.

I started singing and playing piano before I can remember, and have been playing guitar, bass, and drums since I was in elementary school. I have been in a variety of bands and ensembles that have played just about every genre throughout the years including Funk, Jazz, Metal, R&B, Classical, Electronic, and Pop. Pretty much everything but country(although I'd love to start a Folk-tronica project here in Yankton). Most recently I am one half of the electronica duo VOSHO.



As a child, I loved performing in drama, and playing football. When I was 17, I won the "best actor" award at the Minnesota one-act play competition. I haven't done theater since high-school, but would love to get back into it eventually. I also enjoy painting, and generally being creative.

I grew up in Northern Minnesota and was a big-time lakes/woods kid, so the Lewis and Clark Lake Recreation Area feels closest to home for me. My wife and kids and I live out near the big lake and LOVE it!

I have been fortunate enough to work in studios such as The J.A.M. Network, Iceland Studios, Funkytown, and the infamous Paisley Park with some great artists and producers including Prince, Chaka Khan, Lenny Kravitz, Sheryl Crow, John Fields, Chan Poling, Morris "Mr." Hayes, Hans Buff, and many more. I currently own and operate my own home studio, Electropiphany. I have done jingle work for national ad agencies, film scores, game soundtracks, and recorded/produced all kinds of bands and solo artists at Electropiphany.

I am a self-proclaimed GURU of the Mac. I have used Macs and Mac OSX since they were kool the first time around. :) I am an Apple Logic Studio Certified Pro. I am still very saddened by the loss of Steve Jobs, and probably always will be.

For the most part, I ironically avoid pop-culture with a passion. I don't watch much TV(except for "Flight Of The Conchords" and "The IT Crowd") and actually confess to not listening to much terrestrial radio(other than The DAM, of course). I am a HUGE fan of Star Wars, including the prequels. In fact, dressing up as Darth Vader is pretty much a yearly event for me each Halloween - which is by far, my favorite holiday! Yeah, I'm pretty much a Halloween freak!


I love video games and own all the major consoles, etc. My favorite is the PS3. Especially with the PS Move controller, and the game Socom 4. I have been playing the Socom series since the beginning. I still prefer Socom's 3rd person play to the 1st person shooters like COD, Battlefield, etc.

My favorite musical artists are Frou Frou; M83; Muse; Tears For Fears; Massive Attack; Halloween, Alaska; and Tesla Boy; among many others.

I have four kiddos. Two girls and two boys. My family is pretty much the most important thing in the world to me. We have a Chocolate Lab/German Shorthair mix, and two cats.
